Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the lay out of workRead and follow directions in given layouts, blueprints and work ordersWelds parts and structural steel framesStick welding (SMAW) on carbon steelAssist in preparing parts, columns and beams to be welded, which may include cutting, punching, drilling, and bending of materialUse and operate the welding equipment to fabricate and customizeGeneral welders helper duties such as grinding, buffing and weld set up

Qualifications:

Must possess a Journeyperson Welder TicketPrevious experience welding in an industrial setting requiredSuccessfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testingLedcor requires possession of OSSA Regional with CSTS/BSO or CSO, Fall ProtectionEWP and Confined Space are an assetMust be comfortable working at heights

Work Conditions:

14/7 rotation working 10 hours/dayTravel/flight allowance for provided for non-local residentsPrivate Camp based accommodationBenefits provided by CLACWork will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions.
