Customs Global Governance & Process Lead

The role:

As a Customs Global Governance & Process Lead, you will help drive our goals by:

Leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a global Customs governance framework, ensuring effective internal controls, compliance policies, and risk management processes across all jurisdictions.Serving as the subject matter expert for Customs & International Trade (CiT), supporting regional and sector teams in managing risks, maintaining control matrices, handling audits, and ensuring consistent application of customs policies.Supporting strategic projects and change initiatives by providing customs expertise, embedding compliance requirements into systems and processes, and engaging with external advisors to ensure cost-effective delivery.Driving customs-related cost optimisation through duty reduction opportunities, process standardisation, automation, and capability-building across global trade teams.

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

Relevant professional qualification with at least 5 years of experience in corporate trade compliance, including work with customs data such as classification, valuation, and origin.Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders and influence cross-functional teams.Ability to assess risks, make practical and commercial recommendations, and drive their implementation effectively.Proactive mindset with a focus on innovation, change leadership, and the ability to prioritise work based on business needs.
