WHAT YOU DO

Tasks and Duties

Receive documentsPrepare customs entries in Customsware or other customs software, or through a 3rd party.Understand the elements of the Import & Export customs SOPEnsure accurate and timely data entry into operating systemsEnsure timely customs clearance of shipmentsMonitor customs clearances and communicate with customersCoordinate trucking (FCL/LTL) for both air and ocean import and export operations and distributionEnsure accurate and timely billing in accordance with company and customer requirements

Use of standard office equipment – computer with keyboard and mouse, phone, copy/scan machine, etc.Write with pencil/pen/markerFunctions performed primarily while seated at desk

Timely and Accurate Shipment Processing: Ensures smooth and timely freight process flow according to operational procedures and customer SOPs.Timely and Accurate Data Entry: Maintains data integrity in operational systems and resolves exceptions promptly.Timely and Accurate Billing and Accounting: Invoices customers accurately and provisions service provider charges correctly, following credit approval processes.
