Job Description

Scope of Position:          

To complete the entry filing process, timely arrangement of goods for final delivery, be the point of contact for customers to navigate internal network, and to develop business relationship with customers

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure smooth and timely customs process flowEnsure accurate and timely data entry into our operational systemTrack and Trace Custom files and reportingEnsure accurate and timely client billingUnderstand all the elements of the import and export customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customers' instructions and expectations.Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declarationAssist with verification of customs declaration information and the submission of such to the customs authorityEnsure compliance at all times to regulations

QualificationsProficient with Expeditors transportation systemsProficient with Microsoft Applications [Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.]Proficient with Internet and Intranet browsers to obtain critical job function resourcesExceptional communication skillsFluent in EnglishGood knowledge of customs brokerage process, customs legislation - especially with regards to classification, valuation and originUnderstanding of ocean, road and air documentation processEffective interpersonal skillsPro-active approach, strong organizational skills

Additional Information

Expected salary: $24-$27/hour
