Transfer customs declaration information from documents, or other sources into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declarationTrack and Trace international shipmentsEnsure smooth, accurate and timely submission of US Customs entries to obtain timely clearance of cargo from US Customs and Participating Government AgenciesTimely dispatch of freight to truckers and coordinate deliveryEnsure accurate and timely client and service provider billingIdentify and manage exceptions while identifying opportunities for continual improvement in processesUnderstand all the elements of the import customs Desk Level Operating Procedure and correctly interpret this information to fulfill our customer´s instructions and expectations.Ensure compliance at all times by following government regulations and company policiesQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of Customs Brokerage Experience with good knowledge of brokerage process and interactions with government agencies preferredExperience with working with truckers, terminals, forwarders and carriers preferredDriven and motivated to continue a career in international logisticsMust be able to work out of the El Paso officeHigh School Degree or equivalent requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust not require future sponsorship for employment visaMust have the ability to work overtime in support of the department's needsFluent in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, preferredGood computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)Familiarity with 10-key usageAbility to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organizedDemonstrated ability to be proactive in thought and actionStrong organizational skillsAnalytical with a strong attention to detailEffective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, and effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsAbility to work independently and in a collaborative team environmentWilling to pitch in and help on last-minute projects or assist team membersExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsHas a demonstrated strong work ethic, and reliabilityComfortable working in a professional business environmentProven ability and desire to learn new software and technologiesSuccessful candidates must pass a background check
