Position: Customs Brokerage Administrator
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Brokerage Administrator to support our customs brokerage operations. This role is critical for maintaining compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and ensuring smooth, efficient processing of import documentation. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and familiar with brokerage software systems.
Core Responsibilities & Duties:
Create, generate, and manage reports for importers. Maintain accurate and current importer contact databases. Set up profiles for new importers. Manage payments to bond sureties. Handle customer invoicing processes. Maintain up-to-date records of Powers of Attorney, fee structures, and customs entries. Upload and maintain data in customs brokerage software systems. Provide training certificates to importers and internal teams. Support the team with various administrative and compliance-related tasks. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Previous experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, or in import/export logistics operations. High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint). Solid math skills and understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements. Experience with customs brokerage software (such as CargoWise, Descartes, or similar) is preferred. Must demonstrate high levels of accuracy and attention to detail when handling documentation and regulatory information.Forward Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
