You’ll also have access to: + Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of. + Employees can qualify for free medical coverage in our Health Investment Plan (HIP) PPO medical plan in the next calendar year + An excellent retirement savings plan with high employer contribution + Tuition reimbursement, the Freedom 2 Save (https://www.abbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/tackling-student-debt-for-our-employees.html) student debt program and FreeU (https://www.abbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/college-degree-for-free-its-possible-with-freeu.html) education benefit - an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree. + A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune. + A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists **What You'll Do** + Apply knowledge of import/export regulationsto support business needs. + Analyze import/export datato identify risks or savings opportunities. + Prepare reportsand make recommendations to management. + Support CBP Requests for Information, Post Entry Amendments, and Prior Disclosures. + Respond to Broker Requests for Informationand ensure resolution. + Ensure proper classification, valuation, and origin determinationfor imported goods. + Implement corrective actionsas directed by Supervisor/Manager. + Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, and materials managementon customs matters and provide training as needed. + Support reporting price adjustments and royaltiesvia the CBP Reconciliation Prototype Program. + Review and audit import/export recordsincluding customs documents, commercial invoices, and shipping documents. + Elevate issuesrequiring correction to Corporate C&TC. + Stay updated on Customs, FDA, and other government agency import regulations. + Operate under general supervisionfrom Supervisor/Manager. + Ensure compliant importation and exportationof goods and services. + Analyze opportunities and make recommendationsto achieve financial objectives. + Maintain confidentialityand work within attorney/client privilege when appropriate. + Balance cost optimization and compliance. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelors degree: Business, Supply Chain or other related field preferred. • Prior global logistics experience in the freight forwarding area is a plus + Other: Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist nice to have, but not required. + Minimum 1-2 years experience in import/export operations, transportation, international business, or other related field. + Computer skills, knowledge of Excel. + Sound analytical abilities and acute attention to detail required. + Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills are absolutely critical for this position. + Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately and independently. The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
