CUSTOMS ANALYST - US OPERATIONS
We are looking for a Customs Analyst - US Operations who will report to the Customs Coordinator, and who’ll be tasked with supporting US import and export operations by liaising with US customs brokers and US Customs. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly supporting BRP’s US customs operations and facilitating the continuous flow of goods while maintaining the highest levels of compliance. You’ll be part of the integral process of delivering BRP products to the US market.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Supervise all US broker’s daily operations for import and export declarations, maintaining the technical support for the various BRP shipping sites importing and exporting from/to US
Highlight, review, provide and support the BRP internal and external requirements concerning the US importation and exportation laws
Provide and maintain expertise required to support the customs operations and its related systems for all US importations and exports, including testing
Analyze, maintain and support the US reconciliation program and overview internally the US duty claim process, transfer price and assist & tooling value adjustments.
Create, maintain and update internal/external US procedures
Work closely with the coordinator to suggest and achieve additional savings related directly or indirectly to the customs transactions
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
3 plus years of work experience in a global trade service with a focus on US Customs
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities including strong Excel skills (with the ability to perform functions such as v-lookup)
Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals and departments.
Location and in office expectations: Required to work onsite in the El Paso, TX office 50% of the time, or the equivalent of 5 days per 2 weeks.
Preferred:
Experience with SAP
Initiative - demonstrated track record of initiating and successfully implementing projects or ideas.
Ability to work independently
