The Customer Specialist will have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to handle various customer inquiries professionally and efficiently. This position will be the customer's first point of contact, providing exceptional service and support.
ResponsibilitiesProcess customer orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently.Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and fax promptly and professionally.Assist customers with product information, order status, returns, and other service-related inquiries.Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience.Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate department or manager.Verify customer information and ensure all transactions are completed correctly.Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and feedback.Stay informed about company products, services, and promotions to assist customers effectively.Provide customers with detailed and accurate product information and recommendations.Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.Participate in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve customer service skills.Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficiency in using customer service software and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively with a strong sense of urgency.Positive attitude and a solid commitment to providing exceptional customer service.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Additional Skills & QualificationsCustomer service experience (not call center).Server or bartender experience will be considered.Industrial or construction experience would be beneficial.Work Environment
This role is within a roofing company that provides metal roofing for both residential and commercial purposes. The business is large and growing, with a newer and comfortable facility. The position is located in the office section of the facility, separate from the production floor. The work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with the requirement to clock in by 8:00am. The dress code is business casual, with jeans being acceptable.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
