Job Summary:
The Product Manager collaborates with Engineering, Operations, and Sales teams to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for the rapid, profitable growth of the product business segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Portfolio
Lead the product business team in developing annual and long-term strategic plans. Engage with customers to understand market segmentation, size, and needs. Develop business plans and financial justification for new product development projects. Understand competitor product and commercial strategies. Determine product pricing models to maximize sales. Ensure inventory availability to maximize customer service fill rates. Develop training documents and collaborate with MarCom to implement product programs and promotions.Business Management
Manage the product business segment to achieve annual revenue and profitability goals. Optimize financial performance through understanding operating statements, assets, and product costs. Grow the existing product business in new and established markets. Collaborate with Sales to target key accounts. Operate within legal guidelines and manage price deviations. Create and execute a 5-year growth plan.People Management and Development
Supervise and mentor Product Specialists. Ensure business conduct reflects Dodge culture and values. Participate in recruiting and interviewing potential new employees.Customers and Markets
Evaluate key markets to determine growth opportunities. Develop and implement growth strategies for distribution and OEMs. Understand customer requirements and pain points. Utilize VOC process to guide product development. Represent all MPT products when visiting customers.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, operations, marketing, or related field preferred. Proven experience in customer service, sales support, or related role. Strong proficiency in SAP, Analysis for Excel, and Power BI. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in data entry and documentation. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to influence and gain alignment on strategic initiatives.Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting at a workstation. Speaking in person and over the telephone or Teams online. Ability to type, reach, and grasp. Intermittent standing and walking within the office environment. Occasional lifting or carrying objects weighing less than 10 lbs.
