🚀 Join Us as a Customer Solutions Category Manager to lead strategic project delivery.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

Engage with customers to understand their challenges, listening carefully to identify opportunities for value creation and tailored solutions.Lead customer collaboration projects aimed at reducing waste in packaging, transport, asset loss and other supply chain inefficiencies.Collaborate with internal teams, including sustainability, commercial, and operations, to design and implement customer solutions that align with CHEP’s strategic goals.Work closely with customers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring smooth implementation and delivering measurable value to both the customer and CHEP.Support the development and execution of digital transformation and sustainability initiatives that drive customer engagement and operational improvement.Develop and present data-driven insights, proposals, and value propositions to customers, showcasing the mutual benefits of proposed solutions.Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration in delivering customer solutions.Drive customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and ensuring that solutions address key customer needs, while supporting CHEP’s sustainability goals.

Drive the execution of strategic project delivery for identified savings, efficiency, and growth opportunities for the customer. Provide guidance and build strategic partnerships while developing multiple value streams. Utilize product category expertise to partner with customers and internal stakeholders/SMEs to define levers for realizing value creation and unlocking opportunities.

Location: Field Based - Needs to be located near a major airport

Travel: 40%

Major/Key Accountabilities:

Work alongside & collaborate with Account Managers to define and deliver value-creation opportunities for the customer to elevate customer satisfaction & loyalty to CHEP by reinforcing and enhancing CHEP’s customer value proposition.

Gain knowledge of a customer’s supply chain at a location level and overall to continually identify value creation opportunities, focusing on customer impact and partnership synergies, including but not limited to operational efficiency initiatives and cost reduction opportunities

Actively seek new growth opportunities using product category expertise during customer engagements and work with Account Managers to develop these opportunities further by shaping them with key stakeholders on the customer side

Be responsible for the delivery of the ‘value creation projects’ from concept through to execution. Ensure that continuous improvement outcomes are delivered, measured, communicated, and aligned with all stakeholders. Projects should be strategic value-focused versus account management focused.

Monitor and evaluate an ongoing portfolio of value creation projects by tracking their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.  Project management to execute multiple value opportunities within the assigned category.

Closely collaborate with the Solutions Channel Manager to ensure cross value chain thinking and overall E2E optimization

Encourage and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the category team.  Will participate in all team functions.

Contribute to a data-centric team, maintaining high standards of Salesforce and other records to ensure accurate, complete, and up to date information used by all stakeholders. 

Act as a product category thought leader and develop own capabilities in customer category expertise, culture of continuous improvement, customer value creation, and customer curiosity. Leverage learnings with other Category Optimization colleagues for joint learning and development.

Act as Subject Matter Expert on assigned Category. Responsible for supporting category strategy to further grow CHEP’s solutions portfolio.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field

Well-developed oral, written, and graphical communication skills, including development & presentation of formal briefings and proposals

Desirable Qualifications

PMP certification

Lean Six Sigma Green or Master Black Belt Certification

Experience:

Experience in the development of comprehensive project plans, objectives, and deliverables that are aligned with business growth and/or customer goals

 Experience conducting research in customer product categories to identify opportunities, industry trends, and competitive offerings

 Success in engaging with key stakeholders and customer contact web to ensure project alignment and buy-in.

 Project Management experience including regular status updates, KPI tracking, transparent communication, and customer re-engagement (if necessary)

 Proven record of driving excellence in customer engagements

 Extended work in cross-functional matrix oriented internal structures

 Familiar with working and problem-solving within assigned category preferred

CPG Experience in Beverage, Packaging or Pet Care

4+ years of supply chain experience

4+ years of process improvement experience

4+ years of project management experience

4+ years of commercial/customer-facing experience
