Customer Service Representative
Description About the Role: Robert Half is partnering with our client, a mission-driven nonprofit organization, to hire a Customer Service Representative. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a call center environment and is passionate about helping others through social services. You will serve as the first point of contact for community members seeking resources, assistance, and support, delivering compassionate and professional service. Key Responsibilities: + Respond to a high volume of inbound calls from clients seeking assistance, ensuring each interaction is empathetic and solution-focused. + Provide clear, accurate information and connect clients with the appropriate resources or services. + Assess client needs and offer referrals, ensuring accurate documentation in the organization’s database. + Maintain confidentiality in accordance with organization policies and regulations. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to enhance service delivery. + Participate in ongoing training to stay informed about community programs and services. Requirements Qualifications: + 1–2 years of experience in customer service; call center experience highly preferred. + Background in social services, nonprofit, or community-based work is a plus. + Excellent communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in sensitive situations. + Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced call center environment. Schedule & Work Environment: + First 6 months onsite for training, mentorship, and integration. + Hybrid schedule (3 days remote / 2 days onsite) after training period. + Structured call center environment with performance metrics.
