Customer Service Representative
Description We are looking for a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting healthcare operations by providing exceptional service to patients and internal stakeholders. This is a telecommute position, offering flexibility within Central, Mountain, and Pacific Time Zones. Responsibilities: • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues with accuracy and sensitivity. • Maintain adherence to department performance metrics, including patient satisfaction, accuracy, and attendance. • Document customer interactions precisely, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. • Assist patients with scheduling appointments, understanding healthcare benefits, and navigating claims processes. • Support internal teams by managing paperwork and resolving patient concerns effectively. • Identify and address potential financial, medical, or legal risks during customer interactions. • Utilize company systems to handle authorizations, invoices, eligibility, appeals, and other healthcare-related processes. • Provide guidance to new members regarding medical group options and general healthcare information. • Collaborate with telehealth nurses and clinicians to ensure seamless patient care. • Participate in training sessions and ongoing development to stay updated on procedures and policies. Requirements • Proven experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles. • Proficiency in data entry and documentation, with strong attention to detail. • Familiarity with healthcare systems and processes, including claims administration and authorizations. • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus. • Ability to work independently and adhere to telecommuter policies. • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools. • Availability to work flexible schedules, including occasional overtime and holidays. • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
