Position is remote: Should reside in Kansas

 

Hours: 8 – 4:30 pm CST

Training length: 

Phase 1 Data Entry/Registration training: approximately 4 weeks based on business need, class is remote.

Job Description:

As part of the KanCare Clearinghouse Program, the Customer Service Data Entry Specialist will provide quality customer service and is responsible for gathering thorough documentation and accurately entering information into various systems for the KanCare program.

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to:

Reviews submitted applications and enters the applicant information within the Kansas Economic and Enforcement System (KEES).Research and analyze issues and ensure sufficient information is available to make decisions on the next steps. Conducts additional searches to extract accurate data and inputs the same.Completes assignments using multiple source documents to verify data or use additional information to do the work.Maintain with up-to-date knowledge of regulations, policies, and guidelinesProvides high-quality customer service and focuses on the accuracy of information providedFollows up on pending documents involving analysis.Returns erroneous electronic data forms to the customer for additional information. Attend training assigned to develop and enhance current understanding of Kansas Medicaid eligibility programs and to begin to develop expertise in additional areas of determination categories. Answers questions about the eligibility process and provides general program information for Family Medical and E&D/LTC ProgramsResponds to calls courteously, accurately, and conciselyEvaluates information received through a phone contact and asks appropriate follow-up questions, solicits additional information, and evaluates the potential impact of the information providedUse standard technology: telephones, e-mail, and web browsers

Preferred Skills or Knowledge:

Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Family Medical Medicaid eligibilityKnowledge of Medicaid and managed care programsBilingual Spanish/English with the ability to speak and read both languages fluently.Active listening skillsCustomer Orientated Ability to adapt/respond to different types of personalitiesAble to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyMust possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuationWillingness to work as part of a teamMaintain the integrity and confidentiality of all records and communicationsAll other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent; post-secondary education preferredMinimum of six (6) months’ experience in customer serviceMinimum of two (2) years’ experience in data entryMS Office, Outlook, and Internet usage experienceRequires minimum of 28 words per minute accurately
