Customer Senior Development Management

Job Description:

The Key Account Manager is accountable for delivering business segment objectives and share of customer volume by delivering sales strategic objectives at the lowest possible cost. They are also responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive customer business plans to deliver annual operating plan within trade investment plan.

1. Distributor Sales Management: coordinate, develop, track specific sales KPI plans for supervisors and merchandisers by distributor zone to ensure results are aligned to market brand strategy. Develop distributor supervisors on leadership skills and vision. Proactively identify gaps and recommends improvement to the distributor model to maintain a profitable and sustainable growth.

2. Portfolio Management: Ensuring and recommending the right products, in the right place at the right time with 100% focus on core and their numeric distribution increasing.

3. Budget Controls: Manage and recommend trade investments only with healthy ROIs of at least 4 to 1, to ensure long term brand building aligned to market strategy. Ensure healthy 8 weeks inventory levels in each distributors warehouse.

4. Business Planning and development: Ability to proactively anticipate channel and market dynamics by having multiples contingency plan available to ensure sales maintain pace and don´t suffers.

5. Perfect Store: work along with field sales function to guarantee implementation of the perfect store in each channel, maximizing distribution and visibility for all categories.


6. Customer Relation: Able to relate to people at all levels of the organization to builds and manage internal and external relationship involving all stakeholders. Can align our stakeholders with Mars category vision and strategy, while negotiating high ROI initiatives to boost category growth according to our SCM.

7. Category Expertise: understand, apply and transfer category and brand knowledge by working closely with category leaders and customer marketing.

8. Numerical approach: Able to use Nilsen & sell out data for fact based arguments & go beyond with shopper insights that can help transfor the business.

What are we looking for?Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent.5+ Years’ experience in Sales, Marketing, Category Management for Fast Moving Consumer Good Industries 3+ managing distributors.Prior Account Management experienceFluent understanding of CAS forecasting, Nielsen and trade management system

What will be your key responsibilities?Full responsibility for the P&L and implementation of the activity customer’s plan, including sales & marketing programs presentation on retailer sites.Manages the trade promotion budget at assigned customers in harmony with Mars policies and procedures and within assigned budgetsDevelops comprehensive customer business plans to deliver all business segment objectivesProvides timely information, category expertise and prioritiesconsolidating and reporting on retail feedback on executional issues and opportunities.Provides their customer with category information and makes recommendations for Category growth.
