Customer Sales Lead, Kroger
Job Description

The Customer Sales Lead will drive Kraft Heinz selling efforts, Strategic development, and supply chain initiatives on a $400 million business with Kroger. The position will manage a business structure organized around Kroger to enhance category focus, leveraging Kraft Heinz scale and brands through a single point of accountability, with ownership of the Cold Cuts, Bacon, and Pickles businesses. Importantly, the Lead will drive the following broad business strategies to develop profitable Kraft Heinz volume and share at the customer.

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Provides a single point of accountability to the customer for all Kraft Heinz activities through ownership of business plans, customer strategies/initiatives, and external factors 

Builds Kraft Heinz business with Kroger through profitability acceleration, share growth, revenue enhancement, execution of special programs, and delivery of new and core distribution

Drives efficient and effective trade programs to deliver best in class return on investment, while delivering efficient trade profiles

Drives excellent customer service in partnership with customer supply chain; with focus on assessments of current service levels, understanding areas for improvement, and deployment of improvement areas

Leads major business reviews and customer visits, including annual reviews and “top‐to‐top” meetings

Services the customer by establishing positive business relationships with decision makers, providing category management expertise programs at the retail level. 

Deliver executional excellence through leading cross‐functional business planning in category management, supply chain, technology, and omni marketing

Develops others within customer business team and Kraft Heinz Sales by mentoring/coaching

Harnesses the power of diversity – thinking, background, experience 

 

Expected Experience & Required Skills

Strong sales background with excellent understanding of business processes (forecasting, promo planning, multiyear strategy development)

Previous experience owning a P&L

Significant experience in building customer relationships

Strong financial acumen – understanding of profit and revenue drivers and analysis

Proficiency in deploying strong promotional programs

Strong decision‐making ability grounded in critical thinking and planning

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$137,400.00 – $171,700.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
