Customer R&D Specialist

About the Role

 

As customer R&D DACH, you will act as the face to the customer by advising them in applications and choice of the right products/developments, providing them technical support and training (product range, applications), leading technical product developments (NPI) based on customer demands and ensure best in class product solutions.

 

Working together with sales team and marketing, you will create new market opportunities by leveraging the customer network and product innovations.

 

Working with Product Experts and taking the lead for NPI Projects on your own, you will deliver clear briefs as a base for NPI and organize the coordination of the projects internally and with the customer. It will also be key to maintain a good overview of customer capabilities, product portfolio, future projects and launches.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

Assure development of internal and external clients’ relations and maintain communication. Leverage BC Product Portfolio to answer Customer needs and boost their innovation process towards successful launches. Take the lead and work together with other internal functions and the customer for a successful Product Development (Draft clear project briefs, Follow up on Customer Feedback on Samples and Testings, Define Next Steps in Product Creation, Follow-up Production Planning for the Production of Industrial Samples and Keep Customers and Other Stakeholders Informed, Collect Customer Feedback on Industrial Trials and Define Refinements if Needed, Evaluate First Industrial Trial and Check the Workability of the Delivered Solution before creating a Final Name). Maintain a good overview of a customer's capabilities, product portfolio, future projects, and launches. Ensure that a successful technical service to our customers is established and continuously improved. Establish continuous knowledge transfer from the customer to the internal BC Community. Take the lead in organizing/running trainings, assigning the right people, and involving other CI&TS functions where necessary – for customers and potentially internal staff as well.

Excellent analytical skills Creative thinker & solutions provider Team player Technical knowledge in confectionery, BAPA, Ice cream, Dairy it’s a plus Technical knowledge in Chocolate - compound and fillings  it’s a plus Business English and German Fluent is a must

 

 

About You:

 

Scientific Bachelor/Master Degree in Food Science or similar 2-3 years of experience in the food industry Willingness to perform frequent travel (mainly within Germany, Austria and Switzerland) Experience in Project Management Outstanding presentation skills Experience in Sales or client interaction Good knowledge of working tools (MS Office, Salesforce, SAP,...)
