Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Customer Outreach team in the Ft Lauderdale/Broward area. As a Customer Outreach Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Storm Secure Underground Program by engaging with service customers, explaining program details, and obtaining necessary documentation and signatures for utility easements to ensure project completion.
ResponsibilitiesUtilize personal vehicle for driving as part of the role.Contact each property owner to discuss the project and proposed equipment placement.Explain the Storm Secure Underground Program (SSUP) details to service customers.Gain customer agreement to proceed with the project as planned and acquire all necessary signatures for easements and acknowledgment forms.Maintain ongoing communication with property owners and occupants throughout all stages of the project, adhering to company policies and procedures.Organize and submit documents electronically to the support team.Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, with purposeful follow-up and documentation.Communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and via email with customers, staff, and vendors.Read and understand construction and engineering plans.Coordinate special projects as assigned.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsSales experience.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.Door-to-door customer field experience.Account management skills.Field sales experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Customer support and service skills.Inside sales experience.Community outreach experience.Data entry skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEntry-level position.Must reside in the Fort Lauderdale/Broward (Central & South) area.Valid driver's license.Ability to pass drug test, compliance screening, and motor vehicle record check.Ability to engage in small talk and converse with strangers both over the phone and in person.Capability to drive local and long distances regularly.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Previous utility experience is a plus.Work Environment
The role primarily involves fieldwork in the Miami area using your personal vehicle, with mileage reimbursement provided. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 11 am to 7 pm, with occasional Saturdays as needed. Steel-toe boots and jeans or nice pants are required attire in the field, and PPE such as shirts and vests will be provided. Company equipment and phone will be issued, although you may need to use your personal phone temporarily.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
