Customer Marketing Specialist Wholesale / Cash&Carry

About the Role
 

Diageo invests significantly in direct to consumer brand building, but we have to work collaboratively with our customers to influence the point of purchase activations as this is where the vast majority of our A&P investment sits. You will work closely with our customer team to understand the needs of shoppers and customers and then collaborate with the shopper marketing team to create the programmes and tools that guarantee outstanding execution of our brands.

In this position you will sit right at the heart of business, supporting and working as business partner with our sales teams to ensure they have all the insights, growth drivers, and tools they need to deliver brilliant execution of Diageo’s commercial plan. We aim to shift consumer & shopper behavior to achieve Diageo’s financial and market share ambition.

In this team, we work with field, national, and wholesale commercial teams and alongside the Shopper Marketing and Brand teams to deliver best in class activation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Building rolling 360-degree activation plans for our Wholesale and Cash & Carry customers with a balance of portfolio and key brand focusManaging the implementation of all activations for your brandsDeveloping and implementing outstanding shopper marketing activitiesTaking care of the perfect delivery of all assets and tools to convey great activationPartnering with activation agencies and internal stakeholders to develop great shopper marketing conceptsPlanning, executing, and evaluating trade marketing initiatives, considering commercial frameworks and relevant KPIsHandling the budget for point of purchase activation efficiently

About you: Experience required/skills/capabilities/languages

2-3 years experience in a Sales or Marketing functionIdeally, professional experience in the cash & carry and wholesale sectorProject management experienceTime management and prioritization skillsCommercial and numerical savvy with attention to detailExisting capability to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partnersProblem solver and teammate who can take care of ambiguity and adapt quicklyGerman & English: fluently spoken and written
