Customer Experience Center Manager

The Role

As a Customer Experience Center Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and enhancing the client experience at Kyndryl’s new customer experience center located at the beautiful One Vanderbilt, a 73-story skyscraper at the corner of 42nd Street and Vanderbilt Avenue in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City.   

 

In this role, you will ensure that all customer interactions are handled efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordinating with C-Suite offices for managing executive visits (including pre- and post-event management) with both clients and vendors, fostering a positive environment, and creating an engaging environment for customers. Events will be both day and evening and of sizes ranging from small Board to specific client dinners to large cocktail receptions. 

 

Essential Skills, Duties & Responsibilities:  

Manage Daily Operations:  Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Customer Experience Centre, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. 

Customer Interaction:  Engage with c-suite to understand their needs prior to event date, anticipating concerns during their visit to provide exceptional service.   Interact with external and internal customers with flexibility while ensuring the experience processes are respected and the appropriate equipment and resources are provided. 

Event Management:   Plan, coordinate, and execute events and visits, ensuring they run smoothly and meet customer expectations.  Facilitate agenda, presenters, and action items throughout events.   Provide unique and intimate experience for clients, representing the Kyndryl brand. 

Collaboration:   Work closely with other departments (e.g. IT) to ensure a cohesive approach to customer service and event management. 

Vendor:  Schedule and manage the core suppliers to deliver the services with the highest touch for our hosted clients and promote the site as a premium venue for client engagement and entertainment. 

Reporting:   Prepare and present regular reports on center performance, and event outcomes.

Required Skills, Experience and Circumstances: 

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality management, or a related field. 

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in customer service, event management, or a related role. 

Proficiency in event planning and coordination. 

Customer focused mindset. 

Exceptional organization skills with focus on details with flawless follow-through. 

Strong project management and problem-solving skills. 

Professional poise and ability to adapt to pivot with a positive attitude. 

Able to adapt to changing business needs quickly and effectively. 

Highly organized to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to respond quickly to critical issues. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Strong collaboration abilities. 

Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and customer feedback. 

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively and work under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.  

Technical aptitude with a general understanding of video and audio communications and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.

Knowledgeable in audio, video, USB, networking, lighting, and control technology.

Compensation 

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $120,360 to $228,840 based on a full-time schedule.  Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part-time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement. 

 

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations: 

California: $132,480 to $274,560  

Colorado:  $120,360 to $228,840  

New York City:  $144,480 to $274,560  

Washington:  $132,480 to $251,640  

Washington DC: $132,480 to $251,640  

   

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
