Customer Event Technical Specialist

At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.

Position Summary

This person will support the Trade Show Manager by providing technical expertise for the execution of Customer Mock Room events, specifically in and around STERIS Integration products such as RealView and Signature Suite.  This person will travel (over 50%) to mock room events to insure the products arrive, are functioning correctly, and get returned to STERIS.  This person will be responsible for insuring STERIS products are maintained in order to insure performance longevity.  Finally, we need this person to be able to offer marking insight to provide recommendations on how best to exhibit and demonstrate products such as these.  People who perform well in this job will have opportunities to advance into product and or brand marketing roles.

What You'll Do as a Customer Event Technical Specialist

•    Support surgical mock room demonstrations
•    Support technical demonstrations at tradeshows
•    Building, designing, maintenance and field support for mobile and custom Customer demonstrations
•    Support CSC technical requirements as needed
•    Manage inventory and warehouse

Experience, Skills, and Abililities Needed

Required: 

•    Bachelor’s degree and requires 3+ experience in technical service support and/or installation of video equipment
•    High school diploma or GED and requires 7+ experience in technical service support and/or installation of video equipment
•    Experience with video equipment 
•    Must have forklift experience

 

Preferred: 

•    Tradeshows, biomed, electronics, audio/visual, or IT experience a plus
•    Experience in medical equipment repair/troubleshooting is desired but not required. 
•    Technical certification a plus


Other: 

 

•    Proven ability to work independently in an unsupervised capacity and ability to lead a shite team as conditions dictate. 
•    Strong, hands-on technical skills. Mechanically and electronically inclined.
•    Self-motivated and acts independently
•    Ability to plan details and tactically execute as required
•    Ability to prioritize work and accurately assess schedules
•    Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills
•    Excellent, polished Customer interaction skills. Ability to communicate professionally and ability to articulate needs and ideas wit Customers
•    Excellent interpersonal skills. Having the ability to work and interface with various internal and external groups.
•    Ability to provide off-site event leadership, and demonstrated urgent accountability to Customer issues. Must be innovative and creative in applying solutions to problems – installation, schedule, and people problems. 
•    Responsible to resolve these problems, conflicts, and communication issues.
•    Energetic with a desire to learn and develop new skills; coachable
•    Excels in fast-paced environments. 
•    Ability to manage and maintain outside warehouse space.

Pay range for this opportunity is $58,012.50 - $75,075.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
