As a **Customer Engagement & Events Project Lead** , you will play a pivotal role in supporting our tradeshows, customer events and meetings to deliver memorable and impactful experiences that strengthen customer relationships and drive business success. The Customer Engagement & Events Project Lead is responsible for planning, organizing and managing a high volume of in-person tradeshows, customer events and meetings for the Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG). The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Customer Engagement & Events Lead will work closely with division stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of Tradeshows and Events. **Key Responsibilities** : + Manage on-site logistics prior to and during tradeshows, customer events and meetings including venue selection, registrations, food and beverage plans, room assignments, transportation, A/V requirements, attendee gifting, etc. + Manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes. + Develop event concepts and themes that align with company goals and stakeholder expectations. + Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution. + Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships including but not limited to meetings & events solutioning & apps technology partners, destination management companies, catering services, event rooms, production companies, and audio/visual equipment requirements. + Maintain accurate records of tradeshow and event activities. + Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics. + Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures during tradeshows and events and related expense reporting. + Evaluate event success through feedback and metrics, and implement improvements for future events. **Your Skills and Expertise** To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution. + Five (5) or more years of tradeshow and event planning experience in a private, public, academic, government or military environment. **Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:** + Proven experience in coordinating tradeshows and events. + Strong organizational and multitasking skills. + Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, as required. + Detail-oriented with the ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet tight deadlines effectively. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. + Must be a self-starter who requires little supervision to meet corporate goals and complete job responsibilities. + Experience in a corporate environment + Certification in Cvent **Work location: Hybrid to Maplewood, MN 4 days a week** **Travel: Up to 25** **% domestic/international travel** **Relocation Assistance: not authorized** **Supporting Your Well-being** 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
