Learn more about Tapestry here (https://x.company/projects/tapestry/) . **About the role:** We are seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Customer Data Engineer to be the technical spearhead for integrating customer data and information technology systems with Tapestry’s technology platform. This role is critical to enhancing Tapestry’s customer success function, maximizing value derived from Tapestry’s platform, and increasing customer and partner satisfaction. **How you will make 10x impact:** + Act as technical point of contact for enterprise customers and partners during integration and onboarding + Collaborate directly with customer information technology teams, data stakeholders, and technical personnel to understand their systems, data sources, and integration needs + Analyze customer technology stacks and data architectures to design optimal integration solutions + Contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal integration frameworks, tools, and methodologies based on customer feedback + Design, develop, and implement robust, scalable, and secure data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load customer data (e.g., GIS, imagery) from various sources into Tapestry’s platform + Develop custom connectors, scripts, and automation tools as needed to facilitate seamless data exchange between customer systems and Tapestry’s platform + Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the integration lifecycle. + Work cross-functionally with Tapestry’s internal Product, Engineering, and Advance teams to champion customer needs and influence product roadmap decisions + Directly impact the speed and efficiency of data ingestion, ultimately leading to faster time-to-value for partners and customers **What you should have:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or a related field. A Master's degree in a related field is a plus. + 3- 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on data integration and ETL/ELT processes + Demonstrated ability to work directly with external enterprise customers in a technical capacity + Proficiency in programming languages commonly used for data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, Scala) and strong SQL skills + Experience with various data integration tools, platforms, and methodologies (e.g., APIs, message queues, cloud integration services, data warehousing concepts). + Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services + Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills in complex distributed systems + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences + Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment + Ability to travel up to 25% of the time in support of customer integration **It'd be great if you also had these:** + Passion for the energy and climate space + Working knowledge or background in power systems, though not required, would be a plus + Experience handling Geographic Information System (GIS) data and imagery + Ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams within and outside the organization to get things done + Fast learner with capacity to learn about a wide-spread of different technologies + Experience working in a startup-like environment The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000 - $223,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
