Job Title: Order Entry Representative
Job Description
As an Order Entry Representative, you will be responsible for managing the entire purchase order lifecycle. This includes setting up new customer accounts, processing orders, confirming with planning or shipping, invoicing upon delivery, tracking orders, managing material returns, and handling accounts receivable collections. You will also provide essential support to other departments as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Set up new customer accounts.
+ Process and manage purchase orders.
+ Confirm orders with planning and shipping departments.
+ Process invoices following delivery.
+ Track orders and conduct necessary follow-ups.
+ Manage material returns.
+ Handle accounts receivable and collections.
+ Support cash receipts, export paperwork, and maintain inventory levels at external warehouses.
+ Assist with accounts payable and freight quotes.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with purchase orders and customer account setup.
+ Customer service orientation and strong communication skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
+ Self-starter attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
+ Comfortable interacting directly with clients and internal partners via phone and email.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP, but not required).
+ Strong typing skills and cross-functional team experience.
+ Invoicing experience is preferred.
+ Possession of an associate degree or higher, or equivalent experience (minimum of 2 years in customer service).
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position with a schedule of 8 am to 5 pm, 40 hours a week. Very hands on training for the first 3 months.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saline, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
