The schools provide educational opportunities to students with low-incidence disabilities and a variety of unique needs. We are seeking aCustodian Supervisorwho will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning and maintenance operations of the school facilities. This role ensures a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. Duties include supervising custodial staff, managing schedules, inspecting work quality, ordering supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The Custodian Supervisor works closely with the director of facilities to support facility needs and respond to emergencies efficiently. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: * Supervising the custodian staff that works in the various school buildings. *Responsible for ensuring that cleaning supplies are well-stocked and available to the custodian staff. *Will conduct monthly custodial cleaning inspections for the Special School District buildings. *Will conduct on-the-job training with custodial staff. *Will fill in for absent custodial staff when it is necessary. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. The chosen application will be required to take a probationary appointment. Location: The Custodian Supervisor position is in the Operations Department at the Louisiana Special School District. Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm Monday - Friday. The work schedule may change due to the direct supervisor's decisions.
