DescriptionThis custodial role is primarily responsible for cleaning and maintaining various floors surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vinyl composite tile, stone, tile, slate and others.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
SHIFT: 6:00AM-2:30PM Monday - FridayOperate various cleaning machines and power equipment.Adheres to federal and state safety regulations. Adheres to all PPE requirements.May drive fleet vehicles and be responsible for the daily inspections and safe operations.Could also be assigned primary duties of the Custodian II position.Performs related duties as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to understand and follow communicated instructions.Three years of custodial work experience.May require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, twist.Able to walk up to 2 miles per day.May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Floor care experience and/or certification.A high school diploma or equivalent.NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
