Custodian / Groundskeeper Job Details Job Location Shriver - Devens, MA Position Type Full Time Education Level GED (High School Equivalency) Salary Range $21.14 Hourly Job Category Facilities Description About Shriver Job Corps Center The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, various Computer Sciences, Carpentry, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services. Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more. Position Summary: Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility and grounds.May supervise Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning and Leisure Time Student Workers assigned to the department. Responsibilities + Performs maintenance and inspections of Center’s facilities and systems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of student and staff services. + Performs janitorial duties including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors, collecting trash from offices and bathrooms, cleaning bathrooms, stripping and waxing floors, restocking supplies in bathrooms etc…. + Completes, tracks and documents on work status – notifies manager of issues or concerns + Responsible for mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, and snow removal as needed + May operate Bobcat and other DOL equipment as needed Benefits : + Health, Dental and Vision insurances** + HSA with employer match + Vacation: 2 weeks annually increasing with time + 11 paid holidays annually + Sick Time accrued per MA law + Staff Training and Development Days + On-site meals at $2.50 each, include entrees and salad bar + On-site gym + 401k with employer match ** McNamara O’Hare Service Contract Act (SCA) (https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/government-contracts/service-contracts) workers receive premiums each paycheck to be used toward Health, Dental and Vision insurance premiums.
