Cust Business Advisor I
As a Customer Business Advisor (CBA) at Bayer Crop Science, you play a pivotal role in advising key growers on Bayer products and technology, serving as a local expert. Your efforts drive market share growth through the adoption of Bayer products on the farm, including Seed, Chemistry, and Climate products and services. You are responsible for achieving annual targets with assigned growers, supporting National Brands, and selling the entire Bayer portfolio. This position is local in scope and requires significant travel, fostering face-to-face interactions with growers and stakeholders.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) and Key Retailers to develop a comprehensive Bayer portfolio business plan, targeting 30-35 growers with over 3,500 acres of crops, to achieve financial sales targets;Build and nurture relationships with large growers by providing product selection and placement recommendations;Deliver agronomic whole farm solutions and advice, covering Seed, Chemistry, Digital Solutions, and Services;Establish yourself as a trusted advisor by staying informed on agricultural research and whole farm methods, including responsibility for trials related to the Bayer Portfolio with targeted growers;Work collaboratively with Bayer squad team members and various functions within Bayer’s Crop Science organization to ensure targets are met;Drive market share growth of Bayer products through regular sales calls to assigned growers, collaborating with retail and squad personnel to meet grower sales targets;Strategize and recommend innovative ways to enhance business results to Leadership;Connect internally with company peers to gain alignment and support for resolving programs, situations, and issues;Understand and influence growers’ business objectives, including KPIs and relevant customer targets;Monitor grower account inventory progress, track planned activities, and identify new issues or opportunities throughout the year;Manage an annual SG&A budget and all program expenditures;Travel approximately 60% of the time, with significant face-to-face customer interaction.WHO YOU ARE:

Required Qualifications:
Agility in communication to effectively interact with organizations or individuals, balancing and building relationship dynamics;Ability to articulate company practices related to current and future products and corporate initiatives;Demonstrated strategic thinking capability in prior experience, using business insights for decision-making;Digital fluency with industry tools and a desire to use data-driven decisions to grow the business;Strong analytical, influence, innovative sales, and negotiation skills, with documented ability to drive results;Excellent facilitation, presentation, written communication, and conflict management skills;Ability to quickly build strategic relationships and influence customer behavior, both internally and externally;Position requires driving for the company, potentially falling under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, which may involve hauling trailers, products, supplies, or equipment safely;Experience with sales teams and remote teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an agriculture-related discipline, business, or an appropriate related field;Minimum of 5 years of relevant agriculture experience in agronomy, technology, sales, or marketing, or other education level with 9 years of relevant experience;Master's in Agronomy.Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $89,600.00- $134,400.00 .Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
