This is a fixed term position for the period of September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal contingent upon funding availability, continued work eligibility, satisfactory performance, and agreement by both parties.
This position will occasionally be required to work additional hours or weekends to attend events.
PurposeThe Pharmacy Addictions Research and Medicine Program at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy seeks a Curricular Design and Implementation Associate to coordinate the development of substance use disorder workforce training content to fulfill the objectives of the Texas Opioid Training Initiative (TXOTI), a multi-year Texas Targeted Opioid Response funded initiative. The associate will oversee the coordination of a cohesive substance use disorder curriculum, manage logistics for both live and asynchronous educational delivery, and support the quantitative evaluation of learning outcomes under the supervision of PhARM Program leadership.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and evaluate a multidisciplinary workforce development curriculum in collaboration with internal and external key thought leaders under the supervision of PhARM program leadership.
Work with PhARM Program leadership and collaborators to assess workforce training needs.
Identify and help select qualified speakers to develop and deliver content aligned with identified needs.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, individuals with lived/living experience, and external stakeholders to develop active learning objectives.
Coordinate with the College of Pharmacy's Office of Continuing Professional Education to ensure timely accreditation and dissemination of each activity.
Create and maintain operational timelines for educational activities.
Develop and manage a curricular dashboard to track progress and deadlines for each unit of continuing education.
Support the development and refinement of pre- and post-activity assessments to measure changes in participant knowledge and behavior.
Provide timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to PhARM Program leadership to support grant reporting requirements.
Assist with the planning and execution of educational events and conferences.
Contribute to additional administrative and scholarship tasks as needed.
Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in Education (MEd) with at least two years of direct experience in curricular design or health workforce training OR
Masters in Public Health (MPh) with at least two years of direct experience in curricular design or health workforce training.
Additional experience and education may be substituted as appropriate.
Additional Preferred QualificationsExperience with accredited continuing medical education (CME), continuing pharmacy education (CPE), or adult distance learning.
Experience planning educational events or conferences.
Prior work on grant-funded education or workforce development programs.
Background in behavioral health or substance use disorder training.
Training in descriptive/inferential statistics or psychometrics.
Experience in evaluating curricular outcomes using quantitative methods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Qualtrics or REDCap, and Frame.io or similar video editing platforms.
Salary Range$72,000+ depending on qualifications
