SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The Culture and Engagement Manager leads our efforts in building and sustaining a thriving, inclusive, and high performing culture across all hospitals. This role creates, coordinates and executes essential culture programs, initiatives and projects driven by Mars and Mars Veterinary Health (MVH) across VCA. The Manager will collaborate closely with MVH program leaders, TLC team, executives, and P&O Business Partners in the design and delivery of communications plans for program deployment along with monitoring, tracking & reporting on adoption and goals for delivery. Key programs led by the Manager include the Performance Development Program, Essence of Mars, Mars Make the Difference recognition program, Mars Associate Survey, Mars Champions program, the Five Principles, VCA recognition strategy, Thriving culture strategy, and more. These programs are built to embed our thriving culture into every aspect of the associate experience.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Planning & Execution of Program Deployment
Lead the deployment of VCA and signature Mars programs across VCA’s field and support office organizations. Use data to provide insights, coaching and recommendations for solutions to Sr. Leaders, Business Partners and other stakeholders.Consult with P&O Business Partners to develop and deploy communications plans that are tailored to unique needs of VCA’s business.Create and compile informative and educational materials, job aids, webinars, e-learnings, audio visuals and workshops in support of signature programs.Monitors, tracks and updates project plans and completion rates in partnership with P&O Data & Analytics team. Defines and measures ROI for deployed programsCross-Business Unit Collaboration:
Provides input, feedback and VCA-insights to MVH culture leaders and other business units to inform the development and maintenance of culture programs.Participates on cross-business unit and cross-functional teams in support of the maintenance and monitoring of cultural programs for VCA and MVH.Keep up-to-date on culture programs best practices and lessons learned from other business units to ensure effective program maintenance and deployment at VCA. Ensures all culture initiatives are aligned to MVH and VCA principles, values, and priorities.Culture Strategy and Employee Experience:
In partnership with VP, TLC, develop and execute a comprehensive culture and engagement strategy aligned with company goals and values.Drive initiatives and partnerships that strengthen MVH and VCA culture across all hospitals, ensuring consistency and local adoption.Design and partner with the Mars ecosystem on engagement programs that foster recognition, belonging, and well-being in diverse, multi-unit environments.Keeps up to date on employee engagement and recognition trends across the industry.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, organizational development, industrial organizational psychology or related field.
5+ years or progressive human resources experience, including delivery and implementation of P&O programs or processes.
Microsoft Suite
*All degrees will be deemed “or equivalent combination of education and experience” unless absolutely required to do the job (i.e., DVM degree for Veterinarian, Law degree for Attorney, etc.).

Additional Information: Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,000 - $117,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
