Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Role Summary:
As Cultural Curator, Global Product Design Studio, you will shape the pop culture and marketing strategy to keep our brand at the forefront of cultural relevance, innovation, and awe-inspiring customer experiences. You will be a key leader in driving future-facing design and pop-culture strategies. You will be responsible for identifying and incubating breakthrough ideas with the intent to commercialize and scale. Acting as the eyes and ears of all things cool, new, and trending in pop culture, you will pioneer new ways of elevating the product and marketing process and ultimately shaping an unmatched customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Trend Identification & Pop Culture Expertise:
+ Act as a cultural gatekeeper, consistently tracking, analyzing, and presenting insights on pop culture trends to capitalize on ‘in the moment’ product opportunities.
+ Deliver seasonal trend presentations to keep the design team informed on emerging cultural movements and their potential impact.
+ Maintain a deep understanding of current and future trends to ensure the brand remains a leader in cultural relevance
Innovation & Strategy Development:
+ Help drive the development of global cultural activation strategies that push the boundaries of brand engagement.
+ Incubate and nurture breakthrough ideas in products and experiences, guiding them from concept to commercialization and scale.
+ Identify emerging opportunities in consumer engagement on social platforms (TikTok, YT) and contribute to the strategic plans to capitalize on these trends.
Strategic Partnerships & External Relations:
+ Identify and nurture strategic partnerships, both internal and external, to accelerate innovation.
+ Build and manage brand partnerships that enhance consumer engagement and elevate brand perception.
+ Serve as the primary liaison with external agencies, brand collaborators, and partners to drive creative, product, and marketing initiatives.
Brand Strategy & Design:
+ Assist with developing and executing comprehensive global cultural strategies.
+ Assist with creating highly visual presentations to communicate strategies.
+ Assist with communicating goals, positioning, and strategy to internal and external stakeholders.
+ Leverage digital marketing, integrated strategies, and emerging platforms to enhance brand storytelling and engagement.
Collaboration & Leadership:
+ Foster a highly collaborative environment, working closely with VP Innovation, futurists, design, marketing/PR, and strategy teams to drive innovation.
+ Take calculated risks to drive both transformative and commercially viable innovation.
+ Balance long-term visionary thinking with short-term execution to ensure both immediate and future success.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned to support the needs of the team
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
+ 3+ years in marketing strategy, consumer engagement, and brand storytelling. Proven experience in identifying and leveraging cultural trends to drive brand relevance.
+ Deep passion for and knowledge of pop culture, trends, and consumer behavior. Ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Excellent communication, presentation skills, and relationship-building skills.
+ Willingness to take risks, innovate, and self-start in pursuit of breakthrough brand experiences.
+ Skills with Adobe Suite, Canva

Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000
