Essential Duties + Supervising staff and interns to include coordinating schedules, training, work assignments, and evaluations + Supervising day-to-day operations related to procurement, preservation, and protection of county-managed artifacts and local history archives + Facilitating long-term preservation of county-owned historic sites through overseeing regular inspections and recording preventative maintenance measures + Maintaining records including provenance, research, condition report, and maintenance documentation + Developing in-house exhibits and display schedules + Assisting with scheduling and recording of oral history interviews as well as maintaining oral history equipment + Facilitating public awareness to the importance of county-owned historic sites and artifacts through written, oral, and media-driven presentations + Maintaining annual reporting numbers + Assisting with development and implementation of collaboration projects such as exhibits, research, oral history interviews with other divisions and community partners + Conducting local history research for use in the interpretation of sites and by educational programs Public Speaking Duties + Conducting presentations and tours related to county-owned historic sites + Leading staff meetings + Presenting reports to boards, committees, and community groups Grade The grade for this position is B32(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience. Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
