Job purpose: 

The Culinary Sales Specialist plays a key strategic role in strengthening McCain’s market presence across the Caribbean by supporting the commercial team with live culinary demonstrations, providing training to distributors, customer sales teams and supporting menu concepts with customers. This role will leverage culinary expertise to drive category growth, build strong customer relationships, and reinforce McCain’s leadership in frozen potato and appetizer solutions.

 

Key responsibilities:

Customer Focus & Sales Enablement

Conduct live cooking demos for customers and distributor teams.Represent McCain in customer meetings, food shows, and training events on-site.Partner up with distributors sales staff and cross functional team to provide strategic support on identifying new business opportunities by the KAMs. Cross-functional Collaboration & Strategic SupportCollaborate with Innovation, R&D, Marketing, and Insights teams to identify trends and translate them into relevant culinary solutions.Test and optimize product performance across various cooking/holding platforms to meet customer needs.

 

Culinary Center management

Provide culinary training to internal and external stakeholders.Oversee kitchen and equipment management, including inventory control, cleanliness, and supplies.Manage budgets related to culinary operations, ingredients, and kitchen tools.

 

Compliance & Food Safety

Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and internal company policies.Conduct regular inspections and maintain kitchen compliance documentation.

Uphold McCain’s Brand Standards by consistently delivering high-quality culinary experiences, demonstrating professionalism and aligning with the company’s values during all customer and distributor engagements.Adhere to Regulatory and Safety Standards, ensuring all food preparation, storage, and handling activities comply with local, national, and company food safety laws and protocols.Maintain Accurate Records related to training sessions, demos, inventory, kitchen operations, and food safety inspections, ensuring traceability and accountability in all culinary activities.Safeguard Company Assets, including kitchen equipment, ingredients, promotional tools, and confidential information, through responsible use and regular maintenance.Ensure Confidentiality of proprietary recipes, product innovations, and strategic plans when working with internal teams, partners, and clients.Represent the Company Professionally in all public engagements, including trade shows, client meetings, and training sessions, acting as a brand ambassador for McCain.Support Commercial Goals by actively identifying culinary opportunities that drive sales and working in coordination with the sales team to develop winning solutions.Promote Continuous Improvement by evaluating and suggesting enhancements in culinary processes, training methods, or product usage based on customer feedback and performance data.Comply with Budgetary Guidelines by managing culinary center expenditures responsibly and aligning them with approved budgets and operational objectives.

 

Qualifications

Education:

Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related field is preferredCertified Food Safety Professional or ServSafe certification (preferred)

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of culinary experience and food presentation is requiredExperience in B2B or food service industry roles (e.g., culinary sales, distributor support, customer-facing demos) is preferred.Previous experience collaborating with sales or commercial teams is a strong asset.Regional or international culinary experience is a plus.

 

Knowledge and specific abilities:

Culinary knowledge and local market food trends.Expertise culinary presentation.Excellent presentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with chefs and sales personnel.Ability to conduct engaging demos and training sessions in-person.Understanding of sales principles and how culinary solutions can support business development.Familiarity with multiple kitchen platforms and equipment (e.g., fryers, ovens, holding stations).
