Culinary Assistant/Food Prep

The JCC is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Culinary Assistant/ Food Prep Team. The ideal candidate will assist cooks in kitchen preparing food for the café. This position will suppport the sous chef in the kitchen. Food service employee will assemble sandwiches & salads, make menu items, package menu items, wash dishes as well as other tasks that arise in the kitchen.
RESPONSIBILITES:
+ Help in food preparation for events
+ Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely manner
+ Comply with and enforce kosher food laws, sanitation regulations and safety standards
+ Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
+ Ability to work under pressure
+ Has strong time management skills
+ Strong Organization
QUALIFICATIONS:
Culinary degree and/or other related experience
