UPMC’s Western Behavioral Health’s Community Treatment Team (CTT) provides intense outpatient mental health treatment services to consumers with serious and persistent mental illnesses who have not previously found success in traditional outpatient mental health services.
Our clinicians provide community-based, evidence-driven care for individuals with severe mental illness, offering support through assessments, crisis response, and outpatient coordination. This 24/7 role is dynamic and rewarding, with opportunities for growth, teamwork, and professional development. As the first licensed ACT team in PA, our program is recognized as “Exemplary” in annual reviews.
This position is eligible for the Behavioral Health Fellows Program– an initiative sponsored by Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) in partnership with Community Care Behavioral Health and Jewish Healthcare Foundation. Designed to strengthen the County’s public behavioral health system, this program offers incredible benefits, including up to $45,000 in educational loan repayment (based on your degree level), or free access to an accredited professional certificate program, as well as paid time off for training and professional development as a part of a cohort group.
Responsibilities:
Consumer Support and Advocacy
Support WRAP plan, referral services, and follow-up Provide counseling and community/office services Advocate in legal proceedings and assist with basic needsAssessments and Crisis Management
Complete assessments and manage crises Coordinate cases for 10-15 individualsTeam Collaboration and Documentation
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with agencies Submit timely documentation and maintain recordsEducation and Standards
Implement ACT standards and evidence-based practices Maintain productivity, participate in rotations, and obtain insurance authorizations
