The CT Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures, including diagnostic CT scans, post-processing and image archival, while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include administering IV contrast under physician supervision, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining equipment and supply levels according to protocols and safety standards. The technologist must demonstrate proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy, sterile technique, radiation safety, patient assessment and documentation, while also participating in on-call, weekend, and rotating shifts. The technologist must follow departmental policies, maintain equipment and uphold certification/licensure requirements.
