**Overview** **Select Specialty Hospital** **Critical Illness Recovery Hospital** **(San Diego, CA)** **CT Technician** **Full-Time** **Responsibilities** You will deliver superior quality in all that you do and you will treat others as they wish to be treated. We are seeking a CT Technologist who is comfortable performing computed tomography, radiographic and limited fluoroscopic exams with portable equipment. + Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment. + Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies. + Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy. + Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician. + Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly. + Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions. + Perform clerical duties, as needed, such as answering phones. **Qualifications** You are attentive to detail and organized, focused on being a customer-service oriented team member. Minimum requirements: + At least 3 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required). + At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school). + Must have ARRT or CMRT certification. + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. + Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
