CT Technologist - CT Scanning (West Oahu, Call-In, Varied Shifts)
RESPONSIBILITIES **I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Prepares and performs a variety of CT and radiologic procedures. • Provides patient care during procedures. **II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** • Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. • Constant: reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object. • Frequent: standing, walking, twisting body, stooping/bending, lifting weight with assistance up to 50 pounds, carrying up to 40 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds of force, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods. • Occasional: sitting, kneeling, squatting, twisting body. **III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:** • Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. • Exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation. • Work environment is fast paced and high stressed due to patient census. **IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:** • Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist. • Current certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.). If not certified, certification must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position. • In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff. • Current BLS certification. **B. EXPERIENCE:** • Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility; OR • One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures. • CT experience preferred.
