To provide high quality Computed Tomographic imaging, at a technical level, so as to not require constant supervision. To assist the Radiologist in the performance of advanced procedures. Responsibilities
Serves as a liaison between the Radiology Department, students, hospital staff and physicians.
Educates and protects all customers entering the CT scanning room.
Assists with sedating and monitoring of patients.
Assists in the educational training of the student radiologic technologists.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
Experience: CT experience strongly preferred
License(s)/Certification(s): ARRT CT Board Certification required within 6 months of hire. Current Iowa Permit to Practice. Maintain ARRT AND IDPH CEU requirements. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
