Responsibilities

The Special Procedures Technologist II performs general radiographic procedures and at least two other imaging modalities, CT, Angiography, Mammography and Breast Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry
or MRI.

Required Skills:

Demonstrates mastery of use of radiographic equipment and accessories, including CT scanner, MRI scanner, angiography equipment, bone densitometry or mammography equipmentAssesses film quality for position, artifacts, density and contrast Demonstrates ability to trouble-shoot cause of poor quality images and takes corrective measuresReviews difficult or questionable examinations with a radiologist.Provides radiation protection for patients, assistants and self in accordance with all regulationsDemonstrates the knowledge of the proper uses and dangers of contrast medias
Qualifications

Required:

Current California State Department of Health Certification as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)California fluoroscopic permitcurrent BLSCurrent ARRT registrationOne year experience in CTOverview
