Reports to: Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor Reviews patient history and physician's orders. DragEditDelete Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. DragEditDelete When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. DragEditDelete Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. DragEditDelete Prepares equipment and supplies. DragEditDelete Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. DragEditDelete Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. DragEditDelete Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). DragEditDelete Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. DragEditDelete Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. DragEditDelete Enters, transmits and reports scan results. *Minimum Education* Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program - Required DragEditDelete *Required Skills* Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. DragEditDelete *Required Skills* Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved American Heart Association or American Red Cross training center must be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire DragEditDelete *Required Skills* Licenses: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) (CT). Registry Eligible New Hire; Cross-training staff or Transfer staff who are registered ARRT technologists will be considered and must acquire valid CT registration within 12 months of hire or transfer date.
