Amergis is currently hiring a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to support the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Merced, CA. Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) Location: Merced, CA
Schedule: 12 hour shifts, NOC
Position Overview: The LVN in the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) plays a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing acute behavioral health crises. Under the supervision of registered nurses and behavioral health clinicians, the LVN provides direct patient care, monitors patient status, administers medications, and assists in crisis intervention and stabilization efforts.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to individuals in psychiatric crisis. Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects. Assist with intake assessments and documentation. Monitor vital signs and behavioral changes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely medical records. Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients. Support de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques. Qualifications: Current California LVN license in good standing. CPR certification (BLS preferred). Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings preferred.
