The Security Officer reports directly to the head of the organizational unit and is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations regarding the protection of classified information. Such position is required while taking part in tenders/projects where we process classified information (i.e. Polish Police, projects for Polish army, critical infrastructure and similar). Oracle Poland has been granted an industrial security clearance to the level of “Secret”
Polish law defines clearly the requirements for such position, as below:
has Polish citizenship; has obtained an appropriate security clearance or authorization; has undergone official training in the protection of classified information.
A person in this role would:
ensure the protection of classified information, including the use of physical security measures; ensure the protection of IT systems in which classified information is processed; manage the risk of security of classified information, in particular risk assessment; control the protection of classified information and compliance with the regulations on the protection of such information, in particular periodic (at least once every three years) control of records, materials and document circulation; develop and update a plan for the protection of classified information in the organizational unit, requiring the approval of the head of the organizational unit, including in the event of the introduction of a state of emergency, and supervising its implementation; conduct training in the field of the protection of classified information; conduct regular verification proceedings and control verification proceedings; maintain an up-to-date list of persons employed or serving in an organizational unit or performing commissioned activities, who have authorization to access classified information, and persons who have been refused a security certificate or have had it withdrawn,
