Passionate, creative, results-oriented go getter needed to support Lubrizol's community investment efforts in India.  This person will coordinate the local community investment efforts and ensure the companies compliance with the India Companies Act of 2013. They will build and maintain relationships with local NGOs, maintain documentation of monetary contributions, and lead and ensure accurate reporting of local volunteer efforts. This person will support the global Community Investment Manager with global programs as needed and support the coordination of data and impact measures. Collaborate with other volunteer community ambassadors.   

 

Responsibilities

Oversee Lubrizol's compliance with the Companies Act of 2013; which includes collaboration with local finance managers, hosting CSR board meetings and documenting minutes 3-4 times a year for each operating entitity, ensuring all documentation is complete, and managing the documentation process in Lubrizol's contributions platform.

Coordinate Lubrizol's local India community investment activities, including overseeing India community investment councils who are responsible for employee volunteering. This will include hosting a regular cadence of council meetings and ensuring usage of Lubrizol's community portal and participating in global community investment council meetings representing India.

Working with the Community Investment Manager identify compliant partners and oversee the working relationship.    Support global Community Investment Manager to conduct outreach to nonprofits and NGOs that need to complete required compliance, publish the monthly newsletter, and compile data for local community investment ambassadors.  Perform other duties as assigned to support the Sustainability and Public Affairs team.

 

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in corporate CSR

Working knowledge of India’s Companies Act 2013

Understanding of sustainability, social impact, or community engagement

Experience directing or supporting volunteer projects

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience in relationship management

Ability to work across functions 

Collaborative team player

Basic accounting skills   

Able to deal effectively with ambiguity, change and uncertainty
