Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. + 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. + 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management). Preferred qualifications: + Experience in cryptography. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. + Engage in cryptographic library development, specifically, working very closely with the BoringSSL team to add new features to the library, and engage in library maintenance. + Work closely with the BoringSSL TL, and other parts of Google, to meet user needs. + Work very closely with partner teams that have a critical dependency on BoringSSL. + Guide more junior members of the team to land features and perform maintenance. + Grow experience in cryptography consultation and review, as you work with teams across Google on their cryptography library needs.
