Crude Trading Commercial Analyst Manager

This leader will drive greater value creation through delivering actionable & profitable insights as well as championing the use of advanced digital tools and models. **Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:** + **Inspire and lead** a high-performing team of analysts, setting clear expectations and cultivating a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation. + **Drive strategic insight generation** by overseeing the analysis of market fundamentals, pricing structures, trade flows, and competitor activity to inform trading strategies and unlock commercial opportunities. + **Foster global collaboration** by partnering with Commercial Analysts and Traders across Houston, Singapore, and London to align on arbitrage strategies, supply/demand modeling, and market positioning. + **Advance analytical capabilities** by guiding the development and deployment of deterministic and dynamic models that identify and quantify trading opportunities across physical and financial markets. + **Champion digital innovation** by promoting the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling to enhance trading performance and uncover untapped value. + **Embed risk intelligence** by integrating quantitative risk management methodologies into trading decisions and exposure strategies. + **Promote continuous improvement** by leading lookback reviews, evaluating forecast accuracy, and refining analytical approaches based on outcomes. + **Strengthen market intelligence** by cultivating a robust network of industry contacts and leveraging external insights to inform strategic direction. + **Develop a culture of innovation & efficient ways of working** by leading process improvements, optimizing digital workflows, and minimizing manual effort and duplication across teams. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in trading, market analytics, or related fields; prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. + Deep understanding of commodity markets (e.g., crude, natural gas, renewables, refined products) and the broader energy landscape. + Demonstrated strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and commercial acumen. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; experience with Python or similar tools for data analysis and visualization is advantageous. + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate across functions & geographies. + Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a digital-first approach. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced degree (e.g., Master of Data Science, MBA) is a plus. **Relocation Options:** _Relocation_ **_is not_** _offered for this role.
