Basic Purpose/Accountabilities: Phillips 66 is seeking an experienced Crude Oil Trader to join the Singapore Crude Oil Trading team to identify and capture crude oil trading opportunities to generate profit, both regionally and globally as part of the Global Crude Oil Trading team. Reporting to Manager, Crude Oil Trading, the Crude Oil Trader will work with the Singapore Crude Oil Trading team to identify and capture crude oil trading opportunities to generate profit, both regionally and globally as part of the Global Crude Trading team. The incumbent is accountable for meeting Crude Oil Trading functional and business goals and realizing annual profit objectives while ensuring adherence to Phillips 66 core values, code of business conduct and ethics. The ideal candidate should have expertise in trading in Asia Pacific region with knowledge of regional and PG crude grades, alongside a deep understanding of regional refining demand, regional crude oil logistics, global arbitrage, and the associated financial instruments and benchmarks. Primary Responsibilities: + Working with traders in our London, Calgary, and Singapore offices to develop and implement trading strategies linked to global arbitrage opportunities. + Trading speculatively in physical and paper crude markets to enhance profitability. + Developing and maintaining counterparty relationships to expand our market presence and increase trading potential. + Strong results-oriented ability to think and act decisively and independently in changing market environment. + Understanding of pricing and volume exposure and possess risk management skills with different hedging tools and strategies. + Working with the marine department and other logistics to optimize freight. + Consulting with supply to determine refinery requirements and develop optionality in crude slates. + Work closely with risk management and operations teams to ensure alignment with portfolio objectives and risk parameters. + Contribute to and leverage data analytics to enhance market insights and trading efficiency. + Entering deal details into our Deal Capture System. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree + 3 or more years of trading experience; 5 or more years of relevant experience in energy industry. Preferred Skills + Expertise and proven ability trading in Asia Pacific region with knowledge of regional and PG crude grades. + Deep understanding of regional refining demand, regional crude oil logistics, global arbitrage, and knowledge of associated financial instruments to manage associated exposures. + Direct refinery operations support experience. + Ability to collaborate, share market intelligence, and work as a team. + Strong understanding of macro trends, geopolitical risks, and supply/demand fundamentals affecting crude oil markets. + Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and manage multiple positions in a fast-moving market. + Excellent risk management discipline regarding managing exposure and costs associated with cargo trading. + Strong communication and relationship management skills with counterparts and internal stakeholders. + Proficiency in trading software such as TT, ICE Connect, WebICE, SAP.
