Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Equipment Manager to manage the compliant-specific operation of our essential facility systems. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in Fire Life Safety (FLS), HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), and Generator/Diesel compliance. This role requires a proactive approach to program management, strong collaboration skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Fire Life Safety (FLS) Program Management:Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Fire Life Safety program, ensuring strict adherence to NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and NFC (National Fire Code) requirements and compliance standards.Develop and implement comprehensive FLS preventative maintenance (PM) schedules.Maintain proposal documentation and Equipment Inventory Schedule SheetsMaintain multi-year 3/4/5-year NFPA required maintenance programConduct regular audits of FLS systems and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational readiness.Provide expert guidance and support to the Facility team, addressing questions and concerns related to FLS systems and procedures.Collaborate with the Performance Manager to ensure effective execution and continuous improvement of the FLS program in the work order management space.HVAC Program Oversight:Provide SME-level guidance and oversight for the HVAC programCollaborate with the Performance Manager to ensure the proper and timely completion of all preventative maintenance activities.Monitor HVAC system performance and advise on optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.Building Management System (BMS) Expertise:Act as the SME for the Building Management System (BMS) specific to the client Global BMS program and its internal management and collaboration.Develop and manage a proactive BMS program to support day-to-day facility operations.Provide support for reactive BMS support as neededOversee BMS program onboarding and offboarding requirements, ensuring smooth transitions for new and decommissioned locations, particularly ensuring un-mothballed locations are transferred seamlessly.CMMS Collaboration:Partner closely with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) team to align maintenance schedules and optimize schedule management for all critical equipment.Generator and Diesel Compliance Program Management:Manage the Generator and Diesel compliance program, ensuring all systems meet regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the ISPM team and internal stakeholders to ensure all AIQ (Air Quality Permit) and other regulatory documents are current, supported, and compliant.

Qualifications:

Proven experience managing critical equipment programs in a complex facility environment.Demonstrated expertise in Fire Life Safety (NFPA standards).Strong understanding of HVAC systems and preventative maintenance best practices.In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and their application in facility operations.Familiarity with CMMS platforms and their utilization for scheduling and work order management.Experience with generator and diesel system compliance, including regulatory requirements (e.g., air quality permits).Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $93,500.00 - $110,000.00
