As a Critical Concern Engineer (CCE), you will be acting as the primary driver for the investigation, analysis and disposition of potential Safety, Environmental Compliance, Regulatory Compliance and High Impact Customer Satisfaction critical issues. Leading a structured investigation, orchestrating cross-functional teams such as ASO, OGC, FSCD, PD, STA, VO, etc., and help implementing sustainable solutions that prevent recurrence. You will be guiding critical concerns through our rigorous 14D Process, ensuring every step is executed with precision and purpose.
· Lead the Charge on Critical Issues: When a significant problem arises – be it a product defect, a process breakdown, or a customer dissatisfaction issue with high impact. You will help define the problem, quantify its impact, and establish clear objectives for resolution.
· Orchestrate Resolution Teams: You will form and lead dedicated, cross-functional teams, pulling in expertise from engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and other relevant departments. You will be their guide, facilitator, and motivator, ensuring everyone is aligned and contributing effectively.
· Master the 14D Process: This is your primary toolkit. You will meticulously apply our comprehensive 14D structured problem-solving methodology (which often extends the principles of 8D with enhanced steps for deeper analysis, validation, and prevention) through all phases.
· Project Manage the Resolution: You will apply robust project management principles to each concern, developing detailed plans, setting realistic timelines, managing resources, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. You will ensure the resolution project stays on track and delivers results.
· Communicate: You will be the central communication hub for your assigned concerns. This means providing timely, clear, and concise updates to all stakeholders, from technical teams to senior leadership. You will help prepare compelling reports and presentations that convey complex technical information effectively.
· Drive Continuous Improvement: Beyond resolving individual issues, you will contribute to our overall culture of continuous improvement by identifying systemic weaknesses, proposing process enhancements, and sharing best practices across the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality) or a closely related technical field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) are a significant plus.
Experience:
· [X+] years of progressive experience in a problem-solving, quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, or project management role within a complex technical or manufacturing environment.
· Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical or operational issues.
· Proven hands-on experience with structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, DMAIC, A3). Direct experience with, or a strong aptitude and willingness to quickly master, the 14D Process is essential.
· Solid project management experience, including the ability to plan, execute, monitor, and close out projects effectively.
