Job Description Summary

Hospital based sales position responsible for promoting assigned products and devices within the hospital setting. The Critical Care Business Manager (CCBM) acts as the primary contact for the customer and is responsible for coordinating with all company counterparts that also have responsibilities within the account. In addition to the assigned products, the CCBM is responsible for becoming certified to teach the set up and the utilization of the drug delivery device. Through these responsibilities, the representatives will meet or exceed target objectives (MBO’s). Primary customers include neonatal intensive care unit HCP’s: Physicians, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Nurses, Hospital Administrators and Procurement.

Essential FunctionsDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of the disease state, therapeutic area, and clinical practices relevant to the product portfolio to effectively engage healthcare professionals and support evidence-based sales discussions.Analyzes territory and account data, uses judgment and experience to identify business opportunitiesPrioritizes sales activities and continually evaluates targets to meet goals and track sales impactDevelops and maintains relationships with internal colleagues and external HCPs/CustomersServe as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights on product benefits and clinical application.Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policiesComplete comprehensive training and maintain full competency on the medical device, including its clinical applications, features, and benefits.Effectively train and educate all levels of users, including respiratory therapists, and other HCPs to ensure proper utilization of delivery deviceEducation / Experience / Skills:B.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field, and 2 plus years recent hospital sales experience or 5 plus years Specialty salesIn lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, will consider either an Associate’s Degree and 5+ years, OR 7+ years, of successful, proven pharmaceutical or industry equivalent experience within hospital / Institutions.Current experience within the territory and customer knowledge highly preferred.Strong technical and clinical presentation and selling skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsProven track record of sales success and strong business acumenExcellent planning and organizational skillsStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsValid driver’s licenseRequired to pass all product training testingOvernight travelExcellent computer skillsPreferred:B.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field, M.B.A. a plusAcademic and community institutional selling experienceInstitutional contracting process experienceInstitutional contracting process experienceCompetencies:Selling SkillsClinical AcumenBusiness AcumenCommunication and TeamworkResource UtilizationOrganizational Relationship/Scope:The role is a field-based customer facing position reporting into the Commercial Sales OrganizationWorking Conditions:Local travel; some overnight required, may vary depending on the territory.Territory: Los Angeles, CAThe expected base pay range for this position is $140k – $175k. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program.
